FracTracker Annual Reports
FracTracker Alliance originated as FracTracker.org, a project of the Center for Healthy Environments and Communities at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health with the objective of crowd-sourcing data concerning unconventional gas extraction from the Marcellus Shale, and became a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2012.
We map, analyze, and communicate the risks of oil, gas, and petrochemical development to advance just energy alternatives that protect public health, natural resources, and the climate.
Whether you are learning about FracTracker for the first time or are a regular consumer of our work, we hope our energy maps, data, stories, and photos are informative, insightful, and inspiring. If you’re one of the many organizations and institutions collaborating with us to expose harms, we hope our services and partnership have been of great value in your advocacy or research aims. Learn more about the work that we have done in the past through our annual reports.
