Injection Wells 101 – Finding A Place For Our Fracking Waste

October 5, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

Join FracTracker Alliance, the Southwest PA Environmental Health Project, and Halt the Harm Network for an Injection Wells 101 webinar on Thursday, October 5th at 6:30 PM EDT to learn more about injection wells.

For many of the U.S. states with oil and gas operations, eliminating flowback waste is a necessary operation. As recycling is not a frequently used option, injection wells are the preferred option of the fracking industry.

With more of these sites being developed across the nation, many residents living near these waste facilities are left with questions and concerns regarding the environmental and health risks. Join us to learn more about injection wells from organizations and residents working on this issue, nationwide.

Tune in to the webinar on October 5th to hear from speakers Ted Auch, Great Lakes Program Coordinator for FracTracker Alliance and Felicia Mettler, a Torch, OH resident, and member of Torch CAN DO (Clean Air Now, Defend Ohio) and Buckeye Environmental Network (BEN). Make sure to stay after the presentations for Q&A.
