We want to help you document it! The FracTracker app is a free tool for reporters, residents, researchers, and groups concerned about many aspects of the oil and gas industry and its effects. Introducing – the FracTracker Web App

The FracTracker web app is another way to explore the scope and impacts of oil and gas development. Just like the mobile app, this tool contains an activity feed of user reports and a map of these reports. You can customize the map by selecting which types of development (wells, pipelines, compressor stations, and processing stations) you’d like to show and what types of user reports appear (noise complaints, smells, etc.). App in Action: Monitoring Teddy Roosevelt National Park

In May 2014, the National Parks Conservation Association partnered with FracTracker to record the impacts of oil and gas development on North Dakota’s Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Using our app, local volunteers spent two days driving around the park, recording images of wells, flares, oil trucks, trains, drilling rigs, pipelines, and other products of the boom on the Bakken.
