Julie A. González, Ph.D., is the Environmental Justice Data & Mapping Society Coordinator at FracTracker Alliance. She coordinates the Environmental Justice Data & Mapping Society, a national practitioner network working at the intersection of data science and environmental
justice. Her work focuses on governance design, community-centered data stewardship, and the developing of shared standards and infrastructure to support equitable data use, accountability, and decision making.
Dr. González is a demographer and data scientist whose research examines the intersection of climate change, environmental hazards, and population health. She specializes in spatial and
demographic analysis, with a focus on how environmental risk and structural inequality shape health outcomes across communities.
She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Demography from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is committed to advancing data-driven approaches that connect research, policy, and community knowledge in support of environmental justice.
