Julie A. González, Ph.D., is the Environmental Justice Data & Mapping Society Coordinator at FracTracker Alliance. She coordinates the Environmental Justice Data & Mapping Society, a national practitioner network working at the intersection of data science and environmental
justice. Her work centers on coordinating partnerships, programming, and collaborative projects that strengthen how data is used to support environmental justice, accountability, and community-centered decision making.
Dr. González is a demographer and data scientist whose research examines the intersection of climate change, environmental hazards, and population health. She specializes in spatial and
demographic analysis, with a focus on how environmental risk and structural inequality shape health outcomes across communities.
She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Demography from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is committed to advancing data-driven approaches that connect research, policy, and community knowledge in support of environmental justice.
